Information we receive
When you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message. Appointment discussions may include your preferred service, availability and the details needed to arrange or change a visit. We do not need a full personal history to answer a haircut enquiry.
Correspondence can include information you choose to share about another person, for example when arranging a child’s haircut. Please provide only what is needed and make sure you are entitled to share it. Do not send identity documents, bank details or detailed medical records through ordinary email.
The website does not offer customer accounts, online checkout, contact forms or newsletter registration. We do not ask you to upload photographs or documents through the website.
How we use information
We use relevant contact and appointment information to answer questions, discuss suitable hairdressing services, confirm arrangements and deal with changes. We may refer to earlier correspondence to avoid asking you to repeat information and to understand a concern you raise about a visit.
We also use necessary records to administer the business, meet applicable accounting or legal duties, protect our systems and establish or respond to a legal claim. We do not sell personal information, use enquiry details to build advertising audiences or make decisions about customers solely through automated processing.
Information given to arrange a visit is used for that purpose. Receiving a reply to an enquiry does not enrol you in marketing communications.
Our lawful bases
Data protection law requires an appropriate basis for using personal information. We rely on steps requested before entering a contract, or performance of that contract, when handling an appointment enquiry or arranging a service. We rely on a legal obligation where applicable rules require us to retain or disclose particular records.
Our legitimate interests can support proportionate business administration, responding to general correspondence, maintaining security and handling complaints. We consider the purpose, necessity and effect on the people involved. Where consent is the appropriate basis for a particular optional use, we will ask separately and explain how to withdraw it.
We do not routinely request health information through this website. If something sensitive is relevant to safe hairdressing, discuss the minimum necessary with us directly. Any necessary recording requires an appropriate additional legal condition and a clear explanation at the time.
Website, cookies & external links
Our website is a simple information site. Its own code does not set advertising or analytics cookies, create a visitor account or store tracking identifiers in your browser. Fonts, illustrations and photographs are served as site assets. We do not embed a live map, advertising feed or social media widget.
Your browser necessarily sends technical information, including an IP address and the requested page, to the server that delivers the website. Hosting infrastructure may retain technical access or security logs. Such records are used for delivery, troubleshooting and protection of the service rather than personalised advertising.
Telephone and email links open your chosen calling or email application. A directions link opens Google Maps as a separate service only when you choose it. Those providers may collect information under their own terms. Your browser may also cache site files to load pages more efficiently.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the reason it was collected, taking account of legal requirements and any unresolved issue. The appropriate period depends on the type of record. A general question that has been answered will usually need less retention than a record connected with an ongoing complaint.
When deciding whether a record is still needed, we consider whether a visit or enquiry remains active, whether information is required for accounting or a legal claim, and whether it can be deleted or reduced. Information is not kept indefinitely simply because it may be useful. Ask us for the retention criteria relevant to a particular record.
Looking after information
We use appropriate practical safeguards for the nature of the information handled, including limiting access and taking care when sharing correspondence. No website or email system can offer absolute security. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information and tell us if you think a message intended for you has been sent to someone else.
If a personal information incident occurs, we assess it and take the steps required by applicable law, including notification to the relevant authority or affected individuals when required.
Children’s information
Children are welcome for haircuts, but the website is intended to provide information to the general public rather than collect information directly from children. A parent or responsible adult should contact us to discuss a child’s visit. We ask for only the details needed to make a suitable arrangement.
We do not create online profiles of children or use their information for advertising. A request concerning a child’s information is considered with their rights and interests in mind, including whether the person making it has appropriate authority.
Your information rights
Depending on the circumstances and legal basis, you can ask to access your personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict certain uses or object to processing. You may also have a right to receive certain information in a portable format. These rights have conditions and some exceptions. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Make a request using the contact details above; no special form is required. Tell us enough to understand the information or use concerned. We may need proportionate identity checks to protect your information. We respond within the applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful restriction or extension. The ICO’s information rights guidance explains these rights further.
Questions & complaints
If you have a privacy question or believe we have handled information incorrectly, contact [email protected] or write to our contact address. Explain what happened and what you would like us to consider. We will look into the issue and respond through a suitable channel.
You can also raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Information about the complaint process is available on the ICO complaints website. Contacting us first can help resolve the matter, but does not remove your right to approach the regulator.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy if the website, our information handling or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version published here. A material new purpose for using existing personal information will be explained as required before that use begins. Our Terms of Use explain use of the website and the information about salon services.
